Uniform buying guide by workplace

The right garment depends on the setting, climate, movement, washing frequency and the impression your team needs to create.

Uniform type Best for What to prioritise Recommended branding
Corporate polos and shirts Offices, sales teams and client meetings Consistent fit, easy-care fabric and a professional colour palette Embroidery for a durable, refined finish
Hi-vis workwear Construction, logistics and outdoor worksites Correct visibility class, climate, reflective tape and job-site requirements Placement that does not interfere with compliant panels
Healthcare uniforms Clinics, hospitals and care teams Movement, breathability, pockets, washability and size inclusivity Small embroidery or transfer depending on fabric
Hospitality uniforms Kitchens, cafés, hotels and front-of-house teams Heat, stain exposure, movement and role differentiation Embroidery for shirts and aprons; transfer for detailed marks
Event and promotional apparel Expos, campaigns and volunteer teams Comfort, transport, weather and a clear visual identity Screen print or transfer for larger front and back graphics
Eco uniform ranges Organisations with responsible sourcing goals Verified fibre composition and supplier documentation Match the method to the fabric before approving artwork

Our practical advice

Do not choose the same uniform for every role simply to simplify ordering. Front-of-house staff, warehouse teams and outdoor crews often need different fabrics or cuts. Keep the colour and branding consistent, then vary the garment around the work being done.

Decoration matters

Match the branding method to the garment

A method that looks excellent on a polo can perform poorly on a lightweight stretch garment. We check the fabric, logo detail, placement and intended wear before recommending a finish.

Embroidery

A durable, professional option for polos, shirts, jackets, aprons and heavier garments.

Screen printing

Best suited to larger, simpler artwork on tees and promotional apparel, especially at volume.

Transfer printing

Useful for detailed, multicolour designs and smaller runs when the garment is compatible.

Names and role labels

Individual names, departments and roles can be added where the garment and order allow.

Custom uniform FAQs

What is the minimum order for custom uniforms?

Minimum quantities vary by garment and decoration method. Share the style and quantity you need and we will confirm the most suitable locally stocked options.

Can we mix sizes in one order?

Yes. Most orders can include a size breakdown across the same garment style, subject to stock availability.

How long do branded uniforms take?

Standard delivery is generally around two weeks after artwork approval, depending on garment stock, branding method, quantity and delivery location.

Which branding method is best?

Embroidery is commonly used for polos, shirts and jackets. Screen printing and transfer printing suit larger or more detailed artwork. We recommend the method after reviewing the garment and logo.

Can you help with hi-vis compliance?

Yes. We can narrow the range according to the workplace, visibility class, garment type and intended conditions. The final selection should match the requirements of the job site.

Do we receive a mock-up before production?

Yes. A digital artwork mock-up is provided for approval before branding begins.
